Frank Davies, chairman of the NPP Constitution Amendment Committee, addressed questions about Ken Ofori-Atta’s absence from Ghana during the party’s National Delegates Congress.
Davies spoke at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on October 3, 2026.
He confirmed Ofori-Atta will return to Ghana “in his own good time.”
Ofori-Atta previously served as Finance Minister under President John Agyekum Kufuor.
The NPP is currently holding its National Delegates Congress to discuss constitutional reforms.
Ofori-Atta left Ghana in 2023 and has not returned since.
His absence has raised questions among political analysts and party members.
Davies emphasized the NPP’s focus on constitutional matters during the congress.
The meeting included discussions on legal and political reforms.
Ofori-Atta’s potential return remains a topic of speculation.
