Canada has revised its business visitor regulations, permitting eligible citizens from 11 CPTPP member countries to enter the country without a work permit under specific conditions. The change applies to individuals visiting for business purposes such as meetings, negotiations, or temporary assignments.
The updated rules apply to citizens of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam. Travelers must still meet standard visa requirements and provide proof of their business activities. The policy aims to facilitate trade and economic cooperation within the CPTPP framework.
This adjustment follows recent efforts to streamline immigration processes and enhance economic ties with partner nations. The CPTPP, which includes 11 member countries, seeks to promote trade liberalization and economic integration across the Pacific. The new rule is part of a broader initiative to attract international business professionals and support cross-border collaboration.
