A medical jet en route to Boston vanished over the Atlantic on Saturday, with six people aboard. The Gulfstream G100, carrying four Canadians and two Bermudians, was flying from Bermuda to Boston when it disappeared.
The U.S. Coast Guard lost contact with the aircraft after it entered a stormy area near Nantucket. A chilling audio recording captured moments before the plane vanished, with a crew member saying, “You’re coming in blind.”
Searchers later found debris off Nantucket, marking the first physical evidence of the missing aircraft. The Coast Guard suspended the search after the discovery, though no bodies have been recovered.
The plane was en route to Boston for a medical mission, carrying a Bermudian patient and their relative. The crew included two pilots and two medics.
This incident follows a pattern of aviation emergencies in the region. Similar incidents have occurred in recent years, highlighting the risks of flying over the Atlantic. The Coast Guard continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
