Dubai has published a checklist detailing the six documents required for Golden Visa holders to sponsor their parents for a 10-year residence permit. The documents include a completed application form, a copy of the sponsor’s Golden Visa, a copy of the parent’s passport, a medical certificate, a police clearance certificate, and a letter of sponsorship.
The policy outlines that the application must be submitted in person at a Dubai Immigration office. The parent must also provide proof of financial stability to support their stay in the emirate. The 10-year visa is valid for the parent’s entire stay, provided they meet all the conditions.
This update comes as part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to streamline the process for family members of Golden Visa holders. The Golden Visa program, introduced in 2019, allows high-net-worth individuals to live and work in Dubai for a period of 10 years. The sponsorship of parents is a new addition to the program, aimed at making it more family-friendly. The requirements are designed to ensure compliance with immigration laws and to maintain the integrity of the visa system.
