A Kenya Forest Service helicopter crashed at Kericho Golf Club, near the golf course, shortly after take-off. All five people on board survived the incident.
Eyewitnesses captured video of the crash, showing the helicopter coming down in a panic-inducing moment. The helicopter, carrying PS Festus Ng’eno, a police superintendent, and four other passengers, landed safely. Emergency services quickly responded and transported all individuals to the hospital.
This is the second helicopter incident involving the Kenya Forest Service in recent months. The agency has faced scrutiny over safety protocols following a previous crash in 2022. Officials have not yet released details on the cause of the crash, but investigations are ongoing. The incident has raised questions about aviation safety in the region.
